Waltz is graceful, flowing, and wavelike. It’s elegant and dignified. It’s also one of the foundational dances for Ballroom – in fact, some people consider it to be the quintessential Ballroom Dance. Learn it and be prepared for wedding receptions or other elegant events, be able to critique dancing in your favorite TV shows, or to dance your way through the grocery store when a lovely waltz comes on.
This year, our Club Professional (Alexandra McPherson) has prepared an online program to help intermediate level dancers (or those looking to polish up) learn a series of intermediate level steps and technique to take your Waltz dancing to the next level. This line dance class is a solo version of Waltz that Alex has choreographed to get you moving and practicing your intermediate Waltz steps from the comfort and safety of your home. (Think of it as a fun and active Zumba-like version of Waltz!)
Looking for the social/partner dance version of Waltz? We’ve got that too, here.
Looking for more music to practice to? We’ll be sharing weekly practice tunes in our Facebook group as part of our Practice Tune Tuesday series.
